The specialised cruciform geometry of a Sprint X Tour is enhanced with a wealth of technical features designed to deliver sporting performance, agile handling, and everyday practicality. All trikes in the ICE Sprint X Tour range are built on an optimised ICE frame featuring Compact Flat Twist Fold, No Brake Steer, Rider Positioning System, and are available with wide range gearing.

SPRINT X TOUR CHARACTERISTICS
The Sprint X tour’s sporting performance and laid-back comfort combine in a very versatile and capable trike. Built for carving bends, pushing speed, or long-distance touring.
With its sporty ride, agile handling, everyday practicality, comfort and medium height seating position, the versatile Sprint X Tour will guarantee you are ready for the challenge ahead. It is as happy on the trail as it is on the road. It features indirect steering for natural and intuitive handling from the first ride. Handling remains controlled, predictable and light, even when cornering at speed.
The seat angle can be easily adjusted to one of four positions. Available in 26” rear wheel frame, in either: rigid, rear or full suspension models. This offers several levels of riding comfort to suit all budgets.
DURABLE ELEGANT OPTIMISED FRAMES
Our frames are designed to respond to the forces of the rider and road. Every element of the Sprint X Tour frame has been engineered to complement the other, giving ICE trikes their famed riding characteristics.
Each frame is made from the finest aircraft-grade heat-treated 4130 Chromoly steel and 7005 T6 heat-treated aluminium. Chromoly steel is used in the centre frame cruciform section for the perfect combination of strength, fatigue resistance and vibration absorption. Aluminium is used in the rear frame and front boom because it is strong, lightweight and absorbs dynamic forces while ensuring maximum power transfer.
All frames are powder-coated for a beautiful durable showroom finish, whilst other components are anodised for durability.
FLEXIBLE SEATING OPTIONS
The Sprint X Tour is available with 3 different seat options:
The Ergo-Luxe seat. A fresh sporty designed, super comfortable, luxurious trike seat. Perfectly designed to match the style of the Sprint X Tour, in grey and black with red detailing. The Ergo-Luxe seat provides the ultimate level of riding comfort and ergonomic cushioning while breathable fabrics maximise airflow to keep you cool. With a handy weather sealed top pocket, integral sidepod bag mounts and reflective detailing to keep you visible at night.
The Ergo-Flow seat. Comprised of a seat frame and cover, the Ergo-Flow seat has been designed to provide optimum back support. The cover features breathable fabrics to maximise airflow, whilst cushioning in the base and side bolsters enhances comfort. The seat is ideal in warmer climates as it offers maximum breathability. With a handy weather sealed top pocket, integral sidepod bag mounts and reflective detailing to keep you visible at night.
The Sprint X tour is also available with Air-Pro seat if you wanted a firmer, sportier ride.
C.F.T FOLD
The ICE Compact Flat Twist fold is one of the many innovations that ICE has brought to the recumbent world. The fold is based around a lightweight heat-treated aluminium hinge on the main frame. All ICE trikes (except the VTX) can be folded for transporting in a car and for storing your trike.
Simply remove the seat, fold the handlebars flat, and undo the quick release lever to fold the frame. As the frame folds, the rear wheel pivots to fit flat between the front wheels. The C.F.T fold allows the trike to be folded in under 30 seconds and works with ICE accessories. You can even fold the trike with our Shimano STEPS motor system fitted.
SHIMANO STEPS E-ASSIST
The ICE Sprint X Tour is available with two beautifully integrated optional Shimano STEPS E-Assist motor systems:
The NEW EP8 system uses a powerful 250w electric motor, custom-designed ICE specific forged motor housing, 85Nm torque, 630Wh battery, custom display mount and Bluetooth connectivity. The EP8 system is more powerful, lighter in weight and is more user-controllable than the E6100 system.
The E6100 system uses a powerful 250w electric motor, 60Nm torque, 504Wh battery and Bluetooth connectivity. Great for general trike riding as it is the most cost effective E-Assist system from ICE.
SWEPT DESIGN CRUCIFORM AND SECURE INDEXED HANDLEBAR CLAMPS
The Sprint X Tour features our improved easy access swept cruciforms. Allowing you to get your feet further under you for a more stable entry and exit of the trike, this also creates improved heel clearance for smaller riders.
All models feature an improved handlebar clamping system with super secure indexed clamps to ensure the handlebars easily remain fixed in position at all times and return to your preferred position after folding the trike.
ADAPTABILITY
A great ride starts with a well-fitted trike. The position of the cranks, seat, and handlebars can be easily adjusted. Contacting parts are hard black anodised to prevent cosmetic wear. Custom brackets, and a choice of cranks, and seat types go further to ensure the perfect fit for you.A variety of mounting points make it easy to fit racks, bags, and other accessories for everyday practicality and long tours.
NEW AUTOMATIC GEAR SHIFTING
The NEW optional Enviolo Automatiq hub offers truly stepless fully automatic gear shifting. Forget gears! Simply pedal and go. Set your preferred pedalling speed once and the hub will constantly adjust its internal gear ratio to maintain a steady smooth cadence regardless of the speed or riding conditions you encounter. If you ride uphill it will adjust to a lower gear ratio and if you ride downhill it will do the opposite. It’s very clever!

CHOOSING THE RIGHT SPRINT X TOUR FOR YOU
RIGID AND SUSPENSION FRAMES
ICE trikes are available in rigid, rear and full suspension builds. Rigid trikes are light, have good power transfer, are less complex and are cheaper and are ideal for smooth trails and roads.
Our suspension system uses elastomers to give you over 100mm of rear wheel travel and up to 40mm of front suspension travel. Rear Suspension is a tuneable, simple, robust, a single pivot suspension system giving you a smooth ride over rough terrain. Full Suspension reduces the vibration from rough road surfaces and takes the “edge” off larger impacts on the front wheels.
SHIMANO STEPS E-ASSIST
The ICE Sprint X Tour is available with or without electric assist. Shimano STEPS is available in two E-Assist motor systems:

GEARING
The ICE Sprint X Tour is available with four different gearing types. The Enviolo Automatic Hub gearing system works with the Shimano STEPS system to give you fully automatic stepless gearing. The Rohloff 14 Speed Hub which gives you a good gear range, the ability to change gear while not pedalling, low maintenance and it is very reliable. The Alfine 8 Hub gearing system has around the same gear range as a standard 9 speed deraillieur. Derailleur gears are lighter, cheaper and more efficient than hub gears. They are also used by those who are looking to ride faster. They are available in different options, to suit the conditions you expect to ride your trike in.
SEATING OPTIONS
The ICE Sprint X Tour is available with three different seat options: The Ergo-Luxe seat is the most comfortable trike seat on the market and the most comfortable you will ever sit on. Beautifully designed to provide the ultimate level of comfort and back support.The Ergo-Flow seat has been designed to provide optimum back support while still being lightweight. Breathable fabrics maximise airflow and cooling. Cushioning in the base and side bolsters further enhances riding comfort. Both seats feature a handy top weather-sealed pocket for storing small items such as keys and phones. The Air-Pro carbon fibre seat is handmade in-house by our master craftsmen. It is a lightweight form-fitting seat which is stiff and strong, providing excellent power transfer. Available in two sizes, medium and large, to suit different riders. It is finished with a foam core fabric cover, tuned for maximum comfort while keeping the weight low and the feel of the seat sporty.
BRAKE OPTIONS
There are two main types of brakes available on the Sprint X Tour trike; drum brakes and optional disc brakes. Both brake types will stop the trike well and have advantages and disadvantages. Drum brakes are reliable, low maintenance and aerodynamic, long lasting brake shoes can go tens of thousands of miles between replacement. They are also slightly smoother in operation. Disc brakes have more outright power than drum brakes and are lighter weight. The trade-off for this extra power and lower weight is more frequent maintenance and slightly worse aerodynamics. SINGLE HANDED CONTROLS OPTIONS
ICE Trikes as standard come with the braking and gearing controls fitted to both handlebars. Optional single-handed controls help riders who have limited use or no use of one hand or arm to ride. You can specify controls are fitted to either the left or right handlebars. This enables the trike to be safely controlled from either side. Shown here on the Adventure for illustration.
SHORT CRANKS OPTIONS
We also have short crank chainsets available for riders with shorter legs or with knee or hip issues. These are 152mm rather than the more standard 170mm. Short cranks reduce the size of the circle that your foot tracks through the pedal rotation and by doing this they reduce the range of angles that your knees and hips go through.
NECK REST, WRIST RESTS AND ON THE ROAD PACK OPTIONS
The Sprint X Tour is available with optional comfort packs and accessories: The on the road pack includes all you need to get on the road: a Rear mudguard, Shimano XT SPD touring pedals, Mirror and ICE flag. A Neck rest provides extra comfort and support to your neck while riding. Wrist rests are designed to comfortably and stylishly support the rider’s wrists while riding your trike. Ideal for long journeys and riders with limited grip or strength.
